Aims of the Course

The Dreaming Spires Astronomy course will help you explore the universe. You will learn to find your way around the night sky, spot planets and galaxies and notice details about the stars. We will also look at what others have seen from Earth’s major observatories and learn how both manned and unmanned missions have enabled us to gather information. We will aim to focus on the facts rather than tackling the hypothetical and theoretical.

The course will include science, geography and history but we will not be doing any hard maths. There is no pre-study required, just an interest in the subject.
